In the first look trailer, fans are introduced to the stacked cast that includes Alan Carr, Kate Garraway and Joe Marler.

In a blink and you’ll miss it moment as the celebs gather around the famous round table, Jonathan is seen whipping his hood off with speed.

Some viewers think his determination to rid himself of the hood as quickly as possible is a bluff designed to throw his co-stars off the scent.

The traitors are known for their creepy hoods that disguise them as they roam a lavish Scottish castle at night.

While others picked up on a subtle smile which they think betrayed his allegiance.

One person commented: “Jonathan Ross has to be a traitor with that little smile. That’s an ‘I don’t want to smile and give it away, so I’ll pretend I can’t see’ smile.”

Another said: “The way he took off his mask – too dramatic!”

The trailer begins by showing famous faces including Alan Carr and Stephen Fry sitting in a fancy room with glasses of wine.

Their inner thoughts are voiced over clips of them inside the castle.

“Maybe I have got a dark side,” says Alan.

“I don’t know what beast lies within me,” says Stephen.

The celebs are then driven to Slane Castle in the Highlands where they gather outside and meet their host – Claudia Winkleman.

“Players, welcome to the highlands,” she says.

“Now I know out in the real world you’re very important and successful, but here there is no special treatment.”

Claudia then goes on to announce the show’s rules.

“Players, remain undetected. Traitors, murder the faithful.

“Faithful, you must hunt down the traitors. Go forth and murder.”

The short clip ends with Claudia declaring: “I have selected my traitors.

“Tomorrow the killing spree begins. This is The Celebrity Traitors.”
