Chilling location of bodies after entire family including one year old baby wiped out in brutal killing

THE remains of a 1-year-old baby and his parents have been discovered in separate locations after being brutally slaughtered by a “monster.”

A triple murder investigation in Pennsylvania has prompted distraught relatives to plead for information on their final moments – and the “devil” who killed them.

Baby Jeyden Peguero and his mom, Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, 30, were last seen alive on September 12, 2025, in an apartment complex in Reading, where they lived.

Jeyden was described as two feet tall with brown eyes, said Reading Police Department during the initial search.

Cops also warned that the two were at risk of being hurt, but did not release more details at that stage of their search.

However, Geraldina’s family in the Dominican Republic told NBC yesterday they suspected something was terribly wrong when they were unable to contact her for days.

And in a tragic update, police have now confirmed that the remains of the missing pair have been discovered in isolated spots.

Plus, in a chilling twist, cops revealed that the mom and tot were found days after the body of Geraldina’s husband, Junior Cabrera-Colon, 31, was discovered in a local park.

Junior had been fatally shot in the head.

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

Officials trying to unravel the mystery in Berks County said the investigation began on September 13, when cops in Baer Park noticed a body lying in some brush along River Road.

After discovering that Junior had been shot in the head, police said they learned that Geraldina and the baby were both missing, raising fears for the pair.

They were entered as missing “endangered” persons into the National Crime Database, officials added.

Then, according to the chain of events, Jose Luis Rodriguez, 61, of Reading, was arrested on September 18 for his suspected involvement in the shooting of Junior.

Police alleged he confessed to killing the dad, and dumping his body in the park.

Investigators said his alleged confession led them to the grim discovery of the remains of Geraldina and little Jeyden.

The missing mom’s body was found in a grassy field on September 19, a week after the initial missing persons report was filed.

Then on September 20, in a further breakthrough, cops discovered the baby’s remains partially submerged in a swampy marsh area near his mom’s body.

All three deaths have been ruled as homicides.

The cause of death for the mom and tot has not been publicly released.

The horrific discoveries prompted Geraldina’s emotional cousin to demand answers – and “prayers for the family.”

The couple had left three children in their home country, the Dominican Republic about two years ago, for a better life in the United States, said Heinel Medrano.

Their orphaned children are aged 8, 10 and 13, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money to cover repatriation costs.

The tearful man told NBC of the family’s frantic efforts to find the missing trio.

BIG HEART

Heinel said, “We spent nine days literally doing every type of research – we thought they were missing.”

The distraught man paid tribute to his cousin, saying, “She didn’t mess with nobody, she didn’t even know how to fight.

“She was the type of person who had the biggest heart, she was there for you.”

The bodies are so deteriorated.

He also told WFMZ-TV, “My family [is] devastated. My auntie cannot even eat right now. My grandmother, she cannot even eat either.

“They took the person that was the brightest person of our family.”

Heinel said of their killer, “This was the devil work; this is not normal.

“How can you kill a 1-year-old baby? How do you have the heart?”

ABUSE

Jose Luis Rodriguez – a family friend according to police – has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and related offenses in the death of Junior.

Investigators have not yet revealed whether he will also be charged with the killings of Jeyden and Geraldina.

Heinel warned, “You’ve got to be careful of people you let in to your house.”

HEADING HOME

The family hopes to fly the bodies of all three victims back home to the Dominican Republic.

An online fundraiser is attempting to raise $8,000 for the repatriation of the trio’s bodies.

The organizer has written, “With broken hearts, we share the most painful tragedy our family has faced.

“On September 13th in Reading, Pennsylvania, Geraldina Peguero (30 years old), her husband Junior Cabrera, and their baby Jeyden (1 year old) were murdered.

“They leave behind three orphaned children, ages 13, 10, and 8, who are currently studying in the Dominican Republic and now must face life without their mother and father.

“Our mission is twofold: 1, Repatriate the bodies of Geraldina, Junior, and Jeyden to the Dominican Republic for a dignified burial.

“2, Provide support and care for the three children, especially their education and daily needs.”

This is totally horrible, how can people kill other people, especially a child – they are called monsters

However, Heinel told WFMZ, “The bodies are so deteriorated.

“If they bring the body, it’s going to be completely sealed because we cannot even see nothing. It’s too much.”

Their deaths have shocked Reading, with residents saying on social media they “don’t know how anyone can murder a child,” and “there are monsters among us.”

One person wrote, “A little kid… How evil.”

Another shared, “This is totally horrible, how can people kill other people, especially a child – they are called monsters.”

One person said they hoped that the “evil” person who ends up getting convicted for the homicides “rots in jail.”

The U.S. Sun has contacted the family for further comment.
