Tshidi Madia’s loved ones have shared details of her memorial and funeral services, which they claim will celebrate her life, and not mourn her death.
The former EWN’s Politricking host sadly died this week after a short illness.
She was just 42 years old.
COLOURFUL SEND-OFF FOR TSHIDI MADIA
On social media, details of Tshidi Madia’s memorial and funeral services have been made public.
A memorial service honouring her legacy will take place on Tuesday, 2 September at the Primedia office in Sandton.
Tshidi’s funeral service will take place on Thursday, 4 September at the San Salvador Catholic Church in Germiston. The dress code was “bold and colourful”.
“Mourners are encouraged to dress in bold attire in tribute to Tshidi and her love of colour”, read the statement.
‘FEISTY AND FIERY’
Tshidi Madia will be remembered for her role as a prolific political reporter in South Africa.
According to a former colleague, Sbu Ngalwa, the Politricking host was “one of a kind.”
He said, “When we launched her podcast, I remember there was a discussion about how we should describe it. We settled on three words: feisty, fun, and fiery — and we felt those were the words that best captured who Tshidi was.”
