A Johannesburg software developer has created a grocery comparison app called Grocify that will keep consumers up to date with the latest prices of products from four major retailers.
They include Checkers, Pick n Pay, Spar, and Woolworths.

According to MyBroadBand, software developer Ethan Stander has developed an app called Grocify, a grocery comparison tool that tracks real-time prices from four major retailers.
They are Checkers, Pick n Pay, Spar, and Woolworths.
The app is currently available – via invitation preview – on the Google Play Store.
According to Stander, the app requests users’ locations and pulls prices from the four closest stores for a side-by-side comparison.
The free app offers real-time pricing on grocery products, helping consumers find the cheapest items.
It provides a look at retailers’ promotions and the option to search and compare a specific item.
Grocify is expected to go live by the end of February.

MOST POPULAR ON DEMAND DELIVERY APPS IN SOUTH AFRICA
Of the four major retailers in South Africa, Checkers’ Sixty60 service has been voted the most popular on-demand grocery delivery app by consumers.
The information was revealed in a report by World Wide Worx’s Online Retail.
Sixty60 surpassed its competitors, Pick n Pay asap! and Woolies Dash, which placed third and fourth, respectively. The top spot was given to e-commerce retailer, Takealot.
