Crystal Palace vs Liverpool preview
Seven weeks on from their Community Shield victory, Crystal Palace now host Liverpool in the Premier League.
And just a few weeks on from a summer saga involving the two sides with Marc Guehi failing to land his dream move as Palace stood in the way.
Saturday’s fixture sees the Reds have the opportunity to possibly extend their lead at the top of the table to EIGHT points, with Bournemouth kicking off at the same time.
They continue to hold at 100% record this season across all competitions since that penalty shoot-out loss to Palace at Wembley in August.
Another late-ish goal saved them in midweek when Hugo Ekitike scored and was subsequently sent off for his celebration, meaning he’ll be suspended for this one.
Alexander Isak was handed his first Reds goal by Alex McCarthy but it’s quite clear he’s no chance of managing 90 minutes this weekend so Arne Slot does have a dilemma up top, after slamming Ekitike’s two ‘silly’ yellow cards.
Palace have yet to taste defeat in any competition this season themselves, which is a stellar start considering the summer window dramas that surrounded them.
A thumping win at Aston Villa was followed by a goalless draw at home to Sunderland, with another huge three points on the road at West Ham last time out firing them up to fifth.
Alongside Arsenal they have the joint-meanest defence in the division having conceded just twice in five games.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool predictions
Tight
One of the records has to go: Liverpool’s 100% or Crystal Palace’s unbeaten.
With home advantage, a strong defensive record and absence of Huge Ekitike, it could be that Palace’s remains in tact with a similar result to that at Wembley last month.
Two tight games last year saw Palace earn draw at Anfield and lose 1-0 at home to a Diogo Jota goal.

A nice little pattern emerging looking at Will Hughes’ booking stats this season, where from first league game of season at Stamford Bridge he’s been booked, not, booked, not, booked, not, booked and then wasn’t last weekend.
