Diane had a successful acting career, whilst investing in real estate earning her a large fortune of over $100million.
In California, she sold a home at Laguna Beach for £9.5million, and her home in Pacific Palisades for £5million.
She also reportedly had property in Tucson, Arizona, which she sold for £1.9million four years ago.
But it was the sale of her dream home in Sullivan Canyon, Los Angeles, which surprised her family, after she spent eight years doing renovations.
She wrote a book about it — The House That Pinterest Built — but listed it for £21milllion earlier this year as her health failed.
The actress was nominated for a host of top awards during her career on the silver screen which lasted for over five decades.
Keaton’s starring role saw her win the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the 1978 hit Annie Hall.
She also boasted three other Academy Award nominees in the same category across three separate decades.
She never married, but adopted a son and a daughter, so it is thought her inheritance will go to her children.
