Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla’s July 2021 unrest case has been declared trial-ready.
The matter has been postponed for trial, which is scheduled to take place from 10 to 21 November.
She appeared in the Durban High Court on Thursday, 14 August in connection with unrest and public violence that occurred across the country in July 2021.
ZUMA-SAMBUDLA FACES SEVERAL CHARGES
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson-Kara said Zuma-Sambudla faces multiple charges, including incitement to commit terrorism and incitement to commit public violence.
The looting and unrest left over 300 dead and numerous others injured.

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) Member of Parliament appeared all smiles as she met supporters in the courtroom.
In July 2021, chaos erupted across South Africa following the arrest of former President Jacob Zuma, MK Party leader. Zuma’s daughter, Zuma-Sambudla, is believed to have shared social media posts that fueled the unrest.
At the time, the controversial politician shared posts on X saying, “KZN, we see you.” In reference to this, the MK Party also shared the hashtag #WeSeeYou alongside a picture of Zuma-Sambudla.
