Orlando Pirates may release additional players in the coming weeks as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
So far, the club has released Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Innocent Maela, Miguel Timm, and Phillip Ndlondlo, while Mohau Nkota has been sold.
Additionally, Monnapule Saleng has been loaned to Orbit College, and Goodman Mosele and Azola Tshobeni are now with Chippa United.

Another player expected to leave is Katlego Otladisa. The 28-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Sekhukhune United, hoping to regain the form that led him to sign with Mamelodi Sundowns from the now-defunct Platinum Stars a few years ago. However, Otladisa seems not to be part of coach Abdeslam Ouaddou‘s plans as he looks to build a strong Orlando Pirates team.
The club is currently in Spain for their pre-season training but has left several players behind, including Otladisa, Olisa Ndah, Thuso Moleleki, Sbusiso Tau, Selaela Rasebotja, and Zakhele Lepasa.
These Orlando Pirates six players could likely be released if they fail to impress the coach in the coming weeks after the team returns home.
According to KickOff, Otladisa is among those considered for release. “Pirates plan to meet with the players who were left behind to discuss their futures. Players like Jabulani Mokone and Neo Mokoena are set to go out on loan, while Otladisa is expected to be released,” a source told the publication.

Oswin Appollis, Sipho Mbule and Tshepang Moremi are so far the big names signed by the Buccaneers. With Mohau Nkota leaving for Saudi, Ouaddou’s side have enough depth to cover the position.
