But magistrates heard Ramprakash, 56, needed his motor to care for his elderly parents and carry out charity work.
He is patron of the One Kind Act health charity and an ambassador at the stem cell non-profit Anthony Nolan.
He is also a supporter of Sports Relief.
But he was caught by a camera in his Kia Sportage on the M1 near Mansfield in January.
Strictly Come Dancing winner Ramprakash, the director of cricket at London’s Harrow School, admitted speeding and got three penalty points.
He was spared a ban at Derby Justice Centre but must pay a fine and costs totalling £502.
He must pay the sum in full by November 5.
Ramprakash scored two tons in 52 Tests despite being one of the most technically gifted batsmen of his generation.
The star later became England’s batting coach but was sacked in 2019 and replaced by the late Graham Thorpe.
He and dance pro Karen, 55, won Strictly in 2006 by beating ex-England rugby star Matt Dawson and Lilia Kopylova in the final.
Ramprakash also won a Sport Relief 2008 Strictly special by performing a samba.
