The world champion Springboks will return to the iconic Wembley Stadium this November for a highly anticipated clash against Japan, marking the start of both teams’ northern hemisphere tours.
The match is set for Saturday, 1 November with kick-off at 16:10 (UK time).
This historic encounter will be the first rugby fixture at Wembley since 2016, when South Africa played to a dramatic 31-31 draw against the Barbarians.
It will also stir memories of the famous “Miracle of Brighton” at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, when Japan stunned the rugby world by defeating the Springboks.
The upcoming match will feature two tactical masterminds: Rassie Erasmus of South Africa and Eddie Jones, who is back at the helm of Japanese rugby.
Their coaching rivalry promises fireworks as both sides aim to set the tone for a successful end-of-year tour.
