Gabriel’s 96th-minute winner swings Premier League title in Arsenal’s favour says supercomputer after Liverpool loss

A SUPERCOMPUTER has predicted Arsenal to win the Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta‘s perennial runner-ups scored two late goals to squeeze past Newcastle 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Merino’s 84th minute header cancelled out Nick Woltemade‘s first half opener – before Gabriel won it deep into added time.

Arsenal‘s last-gasp win saw them climb up to their customary second place in the Prem table.

Despite Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat at in-form Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Reds remain two points clear at the top.

But a supercomputer devised by boffins and brainiacs over at Plejmo surprisingly reckons Arsenal will win the league by six points.

The supercomputer claims that the Gunners, despite their lack of title-winning pedigree, will reach 90 points.

Reigning champions Liverpool, meanwhile, are tipped for 84 points.

Arsenal and Liverpool are predicted to be way ahead of the chasing pack.

Manchester City sit third in their estimated table, all the way back on 66 points.

Chelsea are backed to round out the top four on just 64 points, with surprise packages Palace behind them only on goal difference in fifth.

Tottenham are tipped for sixth place with 62 points, with Bournemouth surprisingly seventh ahead of Newcastle, eighth, and Aston Villa, ninth.

Manchester United are all the way back in 15th, with Ruben Amorim‘s woes backed to continue.

Wolves could finish rock bottom, with Burnley 19th and Nuno Espirito Santo‘s West Ham rounding out the relegation zone in 18th.

Brentford are backed to just about stay up in 17th, with Sunderland just below Man Utd in 16th.

‘STUNNING FASHION’

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville reckons that today’s dramatic win will give Arsenal “huge confidence”.

The 50-year-old said: “A week ago the glass was half empty, now it’s more than half full. Liverpool lose, Arsenal win in stunning fashion.

“They deserve it, they were the better football team. [Arteta] made really good subs, he started with a strong team. That will give them huge confidence.

“You shouldn’t have swing weekends this early. But the Liverpool players sitting at home watching this will perhaps sink slightly.”
