Gauteng will face mixed weather conditions

Residents in Gauteng can expect shifting weather patterns, with a combination of sunshine and cooler conditions in some areas and scattered showers across others.

Forecaster Odirile Modipa explained that showers would spread beyond Gauteng into other provinces but still have a local impact.

“You know the southern parts of the country can be expected to continue, especially over the northern parts of the Northern Cape, with scattered showers expected to extend as well into the western parts of the North West province,” said Modipa.

Cooler days with intermittent showers

Johannesburg and Pretoria will remain relatively mild, with Johannesburg peaking at 24°C and Pretoria slightly warmer at 27°C.

Modipa noted, “Isolated showers are expected across parts of the Free State, growing into the northwest as well as the central and western parts of the Northern Cape.”

Despite the passing showers, Gauteng’s cooler weather will dominate.

Residents urged to stay weather aware

While rainfall is not expected to be widespread, Gauteng residents are urged to remain alert for changing conditions. Sunny spells will bring temporary relief, especially in areas experiencing drier weather.

“The southern parts of the country can expect clear and sunny skies going into tomorrow,” Modipa added.
