This four-year-old had been knocking on the door for a while before getting back to winning ways at Brighton last time. She came home with a strong run to get up there and will have no issue stepping up to six furlongs. The handicapper has been fair with a 4lb rise in the weights and there’s more to come.
THE DARK BARON (3.45 Brighton, nb)
Had three lengths in hand when winning at Bath 23 days ago. That was over 1m2f but he has plenty of stamina so this longer distance should be no problem.
SMART VISION (4.30 Leicester, treble)
He has been consistent with a win and three places from his past four outings. His best form has come over this minimum trip and he’s back from the same mark as his excellent third at Ripon last time out.
FIRE EYES (8.30 Southwell, Lucky 15)
Has won two of her past three and has every chance again. She had plenty in hand at Redcar last time and sees out this mile strongly.
