KwaZulu-Natal residents should prepare for a mix of hot conditions and scattered showers. Richards Bay and other coastal regions will experience temperatures above 30°C.
“It is going to be a hot day as we move from Richards Bay,” said Mpho Rasimphi, a forecaster.
The heat will dominate during the day, but cooler overnight conditions are expected inland, creating noticeable contrasts across the province.
Thunderstorms Pose Risks in Some Areas, not KwaZulu-Natal
While much of KwaZulu-Natal enjoys sunshine, other provinces like the Northern Cape could see severe thunderstorms. Strong winds and lightning may disrupt travel and outdoor activities.
“We are expecting isolated thunderstorms with possible strong winds, small hail, and lightning in some areas,” cautioned Rasimphi.
“Residents should remain alert and report any dangerous weather conditions.”
Coastal regions will largely avoid severe weather, but inland towns are urged to prepare for sudden downpours and reduced visibility.
