She swore by the shampoo to keep her skin clear[/caption]

In the clips of her skin before using the product, Liv’s skin looked dull and was covered in fungal acne which often looks like lots of small bumps under the skin.

But she found a genius way to banish them for good without spending a fortune.

The after clips show just how well the buy works, her skin was now smooth and clear and had a stunning glowing, glass skin effect.

So what was the product? Head & Shoulders shampoo.

In the clip, she hit back at those who say: “Head & Shoulders doesn’t clear fungal acne, you just have naturally glass skin.”

“Ok. Explain this then,” she said as she showed off the results.

“I swear I don’t use anti-dandruff shampoo just to be silly on the Internet, it actually works amazingly for fungal acne prone skin!” she captioned the post.

The shampoo is perfect for getting rid of fungal acne as dandruff is often caused by fungus as well.

The active ingredient found in Head & Shoulders, pyrithione zinc, which kills the fungus to stop it from spreading.

The best part is that it’s often cheaper than a face wash, costing just £2.10 from Boots and plenty of other supermarkets.

It’s important to note you shouldn’t use the shampoo on your face every day as it can cause irritation, instead use it twice a week as a replacement for your face wash.

The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @livvvmarkley with over 1.5 million views and 66k likes.

Plenty of people took to the comments thanking her for the tip while others swore it worked for them too.

One person wrote: “How long did it take for your skin to start showing a difference though!”

“Two to three days,” replied Liv.

Another commented: “I had a keloid on my nose from my nose piercing, tried EVERYTHING they said to. Used Head and Shoulders? gone. I use it as face wash too and I never have breakouts.”

“I’m listening. Tell me everything IN DETAIL,” penned a third.

Most important skincare advice

Faye Purcell, Head of Research & Development at Q+A Skincare shared her knowledge with Fabulous.

What skincare advice would you like everyone to know/follow?

Can I give two! Firstly, wear SPF daily and secondly, double cleanse! Wearing SPF daily, even on cloudy days and during the winter months, is one of the most important things you can do for your skin.

Double cleansing is one of the most effective (and often overlooked) ways to upgrade your skincare routine – especially if you wear sunscreen, makeup, or live in a busy polluted city. I’d suggest an evening double cleanse for best results.

What is a big skincare myth?

Luxury doesn’t mean more effective. You absolutely do not need to spend a fortune on skincare to get great results and Q+A is the perfect example of this. Many affordable products use the same active ingredients as luxury brands like hyaluronic acid, retinol, vitamin C, peptides, or salicylic acid – we use these in lots of our face and body products. A smart, consistent routine with well-formulated products – regardless of price – is what truly delivers results.

If someone is new to skincare, what’s one product you’d recommend them and why?

A moisturiser with SPF. Moisturising daily is an essential for all skin types and can make a perceivable difference to the appearance of the skin quickly. As SPF is also essential, combining these two steps can build good habits quickly and prevent skin cancer. Not only is SPF essential for protecting the skin from sun damage/skin cancer but also helps keep premature ageing at bay e.g. wrinkles/pigmentation.

Q+A have three excellent facial SPF50s (£15 each) – Peptide Anti-Ageing SPF50, Niacinamide Balancing SPF50 and Squalane Hydrating SPF50, that are available from Sephora and Holland & Barrett.

What is Q+A’s number one best seller?

Our Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum. It’s our number one best-seller one is sold every 90 seconds!

When it comes to the body, it’s the Q+A Salicylic Acid Body Wash – we sell one every two minutes.

Q+A is available from Sephora, Holland & Barrett, selected Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose stores and qandaskin.com.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Yessssss! The only thing that worked for me!”

“I can confirm it works… but don’t use it every day, maybe every other day cause it can make your skin sensitive. Moisturise your skin too,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Buying this, I hope it actually works on me.”
