I look like SpongeBob from the front thanks to my ‘Roblox torso’… trolls say they’d ‘cry every night’ but I love my body

A WOMAN has left people stunned after showing off the unique body shape she says is “giving SpongeBob”.

Ronni sported a white halterneck top and low-rise jeans as she took to her TikTok page to share a video which began by showing her from the side.

It was when Ronni turned to the front that her body was “giving SpongeBob”, she said in the video caption

Holding her arms out straight in front of her, Ronni drew attention to her washboard stomach and enviably slim waist.

“Having a wide ribcage…” she wrote over the top of the clip.

She then turned to the front, to show how her frame looks wider when viewed from the front.

“It’s giving SpongeBob!” she added in the caption of the TikTok.

While someone else in the comments section said Ronni had more of a “Roblox torso”.

“I wasn’t ready for that!” another added.

“I thought this was gonna be rage bait,” a third said.

“Finally someone who gets it,” someone else sighed.

“It’s actually a curse because there’s no way to fix it!”

However, Ronni hit back at that comment as she replied: “I love my body.

“I’m happy, healthy, and skinny!”

She then shared another video in which she took aim at the trolls mocking her body shape, as she insisted: “The gag is I love my wide rib cage!

“You wanna know why? I give 2000s chic.

“Look up Cameron Diaz, look up Kate Upton, look up Angelina Jolie.

“They are baddies, baddies, and they have wide rib cages.”

Calling herself “gorgeous, tan, skinny, toned” and “literally the beauty standard”, Ronni added that her body has taken her “through 17 years of sports since I was five years old, up until I graduated from college”.

What is body shaming?

In addition, “commenting on a person’s clothing, body hair, eating habits, make-up skills or attractiveness” could be constituted as body shaming too, PsychCentral explained.

While body shaming has become more of an issue in recent years, a study conducted by Glamour magazine in 2000 found that a staggering 97 per cent of women surveyed admitted to having an “I hate my body” moment.

And those who shame people about their figures can include doctors and medical professionals too.

A 2019 report found that more than 3 in 5 adults encounter “weight bias” from their doctors – particularly those who are obese.

And body shaming someone can have massive effects on their mental health, and could potentially lead to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, eating disorders and self-harm.

If you have been body shamed and are struggling to deal with the effects, you can call the Samaritans on 116 123 for confidential, emotional support.

“I received a softball scholarship to go to a private university in Hawaii because of this body,” she said.

She concluded by telling trolls to continue “crying yourselves to sleep”, as she added: “I go to sleep with so much peace and so much happiness in my heart.

“Because I love my body and I love my life and this body has given me so many amazing opportunities!”

“I have your exact body type and it’s so awesome to see girls built like me open up about this!!” one person commented on that video.

As another added: “They are jealous because why are you taking your time to body shame somebody that likes their body?”

“Why do people hate to see a hot woman loving her body and being confident about it?” a third questioned.
