A B&M fan who visited the UK’s largest store has told how it made for the “perfect day out.”
Kim Flanders explained how she spent an hour inside the Bournemouth store and was shocked by the Christmas aisles which had every colour theme imaginable and was super impressed by the endless aisles of candles and cleaning products.

The humongous building, which was previously a Homebase, stretches the full length of the Mallard Road Retail Park’s car park and was crowned “the best B&M” in the country in 2022 by the chain.
It spans a whopping 79,000sq ft which is even bigger than a standard football pitch of 64,000 sq ft and over triple the size of the average B&M which is 22,000sq ft.
The shop is the only one in the entire country to stock every single line that B&M has – a huge 19,000 – all in one place.
Kim posted a video on TikTok (@kim_flanders) and took her social media followers with her as she enjoyed over an hour exploring the store, which employs an impressive 90 staff.
“I ended up spending over an hour in the UK’s biggest B&M,” Kim begins.
“When I tell you I was in my absolute element, this is my idea of a perfect day out – and you know I mean business when I bring in a trolley.”
Kim starts off with all the “boring essential bits” she needs for her new house, which includes oven, dishwasher, carpet cleaner, and some Dr Beckmann’s Glow White sheets which she says are “absolutely insane.”
Moments later, she’s shocked to see just how many cleaning products are available.
“Just when I thought I was done with the cleaning aisles, there was more – no joke!” she exclaims.
“Every aisle I turned for about the first 10 minutes was just cleaning stuff.”

Next, Kim points out how she stumbled upon “loads of skincare everywhere” – adding it was “dupes central.”
The giant store also has its own home section – including its very own curtain aisle, with Kim noting how she picked up a king duvet set for her bed, and liked a lamp for her bedside table.
Speaking of the cups and plates, Kim says: “B&M at the moment is bow central. If you like bows, go to B&M.
“If you are first-time buyers, I definitely would recommend going to this B&M because when I tell you they literally had every single set possible.”
Before she knew it, Kim found herself in the Christmas aisle.
“Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love Christmas — like it’s my time of the year to shine,” she says.
“The first year I was with my boyfriend, November 1st, I put my tree up and he was absolutely mortified.”
Zooming the camera into a boucle cream bow, which retails at the bargain price of just £5, Kim enthuses: “How cute is this bow?
“I don’t know if it’s for the top of a tree or what, but then they also have these mini ones too.”
She continues: “And I’m sorry, this stocking is the cutest stocking I’ve ever seen in my life.
“They had every single colour theme — everything you can think of —and an entire row of wreaths, loads of nutcrackers.”
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
Kim goes on to explain how the store also has it’s very own garden centre out the back, while upstairs consists of a whopping two or three aisles of just candles.
After coming across “an entire row of baskets again,” the B&M fan adds that it’s “mirror galore” everywhere.
“They were all stunning as well and such good price,” she notes.
While she looks down the furniture aisle, Kim says there isn’t actually that much for her but points out that some of the stuff on sale have “really good prices.”
After paying for the contents of her bag which comes to £89, Kim admits she’s shocked and expected it to come to at least £100.
“All in all, I would definitely recommend going to this one and making the trip,” she recommends.
The post has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 1.1 million views and several comments from social media users.
