After mesmerising South Africans with his performance on Saturday at the Women’s Day Celebration at Wanderers Cricket Stadium in Johannesburg, R&B sensation Joe Thomas has scored himself another gig in SA.
This follows after Ndlala Mall added a second day for the highly anticipated Ndlala Mall grand opening in Pretoria on 22 August 2025.

What was once set to be a spectacular two-day celebration saw its Friday show briefly drop from the lineup.
This comes after Tank, who was initially booked to perform at the Ndlala Mall grand opening on 2 August, withdrew from the event. Organisations promptly added Donell Jones to last week’s lineup to maintain the momentum and excitement.
However, in a move that reaffirms his dedication to supporters, Ndlala has reinstated the full original program to ensure that fans get the complete experience they were promised.
Joe Thomas will headline Friday’s Grand Opening ceremony, with Donell Jones leading Saturday’s lineup. Joseph Lewis Thomas, better known as Joe, is an American R&B singer who rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like Stutter, I Wanna Know, and All the Things Your Man Won’t Do.
He has released several chart-topping albums, including My Name Is Joe and Better Days. Thomas is ready to captivate fans with his show at the mall’s grand opening.
“Remember, the event was initially scheduled for 2 days; this is us keeping the promise to give people an opportunity to choose their favourite,” says Ndlala.
The international star revealed that he is staying longer in South Africa after recently performing at a Women’s Day Celebration.
“South Africa, I have a surprise for you. I am staying to support my friend Thami Ndlala,” Thomas proudly announced.
