The improvement has been built on defensive stability, with Amakhosi conceding just six goals all season, the best record among the title contenders.

FEBRUARY TO DEFINE KAIZER CHIEFS’ SEASON?
The start of 2026 has delivered laboured narrow results. 1-0 victories over Golden Arrows and Marumo Gallants were not easy on the eye, but they have kept Kaizer Chiefs competitive in the title race.
Alongside league form, Amakhosi have also managed their commitments in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages ahead of starting their Nedbank Cup title defence.
February now presents a demanding run of fixtures across three competitions…
After starting the month with a 1-0 win over ZESCO in Durban on Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs will continue with a Nedbank Cup last-32 clash away to Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday, 4 February.
The match will be played at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
CAF action follows on Sunday, 8 February, when Kaizer Chiefs host Al-Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup. The match will take place at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane and kicks off at 15:00.
ZAMALEK AND ORLANDO PIRATES TO CONCLUDE FEBRUARY
A week later, Amakhosi travel north to face Zamalek away in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, 15 February. The venue and kick-off time are yet to be confirmed.
