CHIEFS MAKE CONTACT WITH PORTUGUESE COACH
Former Angolan coach, Pedro Gonçalves has been approached by Chiefs.
“After leaving the Angola national team, Pedro Gonçalves has already received approaches from Al Ahly, from Egypt (which is interested in hiring a Portuguese coach), and from Kaizer Chiefs, from South Africa,” the publication reported.
Meaning, the Portuguese coach is one of the men shortlisted for the Amakhosi hot seat.
Furthermore, he is joined by another European coach interested in the Chiefs vacancy.
EX-FRENCH LIGUE 1 COACH INTERESTED IN AMAKHOSI JOB
As reported on The South African, former French Ligue 1 coach Jerome Arpinon is interested in the vacant Chiefs hot seat.
“Jerome Arpinon is very interested in the Kaizer Chiefs job. His representatives are finalising things before officially sending his CV to the club,” an insider told SoccerLaduma.
“They believe Amakhosi would be a perfect project for him, and he wants to be considered should there be a change in the technical team,” they added.
Meaning, the Chiefs’ vacancy has drawn attention from two international coaches already.
Ultimately, there will be a lot of interest in this position given the rich history and culture of Amakhosi.
Meanwhile, big-name coaches such as Pitso Mosimane, Jose Riveiro, and Pitso Mosimane have all been linked with the Chiefs’ job following the departure of Nasreddine Nabi.
Mosimane is currently unattached to any club. Furthermore, ex-Pirates head coach, Jose Riveiro, is also available after Al Ahly decided to part ways with the Spaniard a few weeks ago.
