Maart makes U-Turn on Kaizer Chiefs future, club to land R15 million
Not long ago, Yusuf Maart was allegedly on the brink of triggering a one-year contract extension option with Kaizer Chiefs. Now, the 29-year-old midfielder is on the verge of completing a move to Austrian side SV Ried. In three years at the club since moving from Sekhukhune, Maart has clocked up 95 appearances with seven goals and eight assists. SV Ried secured promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga for the 2025-2026 season. It’s believed that Ried will part with €720k (R15 million) to land Maart.
Is R15 million enough for Maart, or is the club being shortchanged?
