Kaizer Chiefs show interest in shock ex-player!

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be going on a heavy recruitment drive ahead of the new season per reports.

Chiefs will look to better their fortunes in the next season and will start with the attacking the transfer market.

Chiefs waiting to announce at least five new players

It is believed that Chiefs have signed at least five players heading into their pre-season tour to the Netherlands. Duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane are set to cross the floor from arch rivals Orlando Pirates. This after their contracts officially expire on June 30. It is also thought that striker Etiosa Ighodaro will join the Glamour Boys as a free agent from other rivals Mamelodi Sundowns

The two latest signings are reportedly attacking midfield duo of Asanele Velebayi and Ethan Chislett. Velebayi joins Chiefs as a free agent following the relegation of Cape Town Spurs into the amateur ranks. Chislett also joins as a free agent after not renewing his deal with English League Two side Port Vale. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, Amakhosi are eyeing further reinforcement to the team’s midfield but from a shock source.

The publication claims that Chiefs are interesting in bringing back academy product Lebohang Lesako!

Shock Lesako option on the cards?

“Some Chiefs scouts and recruiters have been following his (Lesako) progress. They know him already as he is their former player and they are happy on how he has progressed from where he was before to where he is this season. He has shown growth both as a player and as a person and that’s what makes them happy with his progress. They are believed to have enquired about him as they have shown interest in him,” said a source to same publication.
