Kaizer Chiefs are linked with some big-name stars. However, they will not be signing these players.
Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with the likes of Monnapule Saleng, Percy Tau, Fiston Mayele.
So, which players will Amakhosi NOT be signing before the start of the 2025/26 DStv Premiership campaign?

MAYELE CLOSES PSL CHAPTER
Fiston Mayele’s brother confirmed that the move is off with Mayele focused on other offers abroad.
His brother, Bukasa, confirmed that Mayele will not be joining Chiefs or any team in the PSL.
“He doesn’t want South Africa anymore, so I’m surprised that Mayele is still being linked to Chiefs up to now,” he told KickOff.
“When Mayele wanted to come to South Africa, Chiefs turned us down and we moved on. The truth is that while at Yanga, he wanted to come to South Africa, but he was told about age, money, and so felt discouraged,”
“He will not even come to Mamelodi Sundowns because the PSL chapter is gone. He now needs to make money and will move to Saudi Arabia, where his salary will be tripled before all other bonuses. We are talking proper money,” Bukasa continued.
AMAKHOSI NOT INTERESTED IN TAU DESPITE PAY-CUT
Meanwhile, despite Tau’s willingness to take a huge pay-cut to join Chiefs. Amakhosi have shown no interest in the former Bafana Bafana star. Also, Chiefs have learnt from their mistakes in the past where they signed players while passed their prime.
Players such as Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat were all paid handsomely but failed to deliver on the pitch. So, Chiefs will not be making the same mistake with Tau.
ORLANDO PIRATES SIGN TWO LONG-TERM CHIEFS TARGETS
Meanwhile, they have already lost out on Sipho Mbule who signed for Orlando Pirates. As well as long-term Oswin Appollis.
Initially, Mbule’s agent, Mike Makaab, confirmed that he had been offered to Chiefs. However, they took to long to decide. So, Pirates bounced. Also, after months of Amakhosi wanting Appollis is was Abdeslams Bucs that hijacked their move from right under their noses.
Finally, Saleng’s links to Chiefs have been nothing but unconfirmed rumours that are unlikely to materialise into anything real.
Therefore, Chiefs will not be signing Tau, Mbule, Appollis, Mayele or Saleng ahead of next season.
