Police in Limpopo are investigating two cases of murder and one of attempted murder after a man allegedly shot and killed his wife, wounded a female shop manager, and then turned the gun on himself at the Namakgale Shopping Complex.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said in a statement the incident happened on Sunday.
He said officers were alerted to a shooting at the shopping complex and, on arrival, found the bodies of the 45-year-old man, his 40-year-old wife, and the injured store manager.

Mashaba said the man followed his wife to the shopping center and fired two shots inside the store manager’s office, where she had sought refuge, injuring the manager.
He then dragged his wife outside, stabbed her several times, and fatally shot her before shooting himself.
Mashaba said the firearm was unlicensed and its serial number had been concealed. Police recovered the gun, cartridges, and projectiles from the scene.
The incident is believed to be related to a domestic dispute, but police investigation is ongoing.
Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lt. Gen. Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident.
“This brutal act is yet another reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence. We urge community members facing challenges in their relationships to seek help and support rather than resorting to violence,” Hadebe said in a statement.
