Meghan Markle ‘offered her own show on Magic Radio’ after revealing she missed listening to it

MEGHAN Markle has been offered a DJing role at Magic Radio after admitting it was one of the things she missed most about the UK.

In the latest series of her Netflix show ‘With love, Meghan’, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, confessed her love for the popular station.

After making the bizarre admission, Meghan was then teased by Queer Eye star Tan France for being a “grandma”.

Magic, owned by Bauer Media, is renowned for playing popular hits from the 1980s onwards.

Meg, who moved her family to the US five years ago, explained it was the thing she “missed most” about being in the UK.

She said: “Honestly one of the things I miss the most about the UK is the radio station… Magic FM.

Tan quips: “Magic FM. Wow! Sorry to say this to you publicly, but that’s such a grandma station.”

Meghan then replies: “I’ll be that grandma”.

Paul Sylvester, content director of Magic, has since revealed that Meg has an “offer on the table” from bosses at the station.

Speaking at a RadioCentre conference yesterday, he confirmed the Sussex team had been approached about the role.

He said: “We had conversions with the Sussex team.

“If the Duchess would like to add radio presenter to her CV there is an offer on the table.”

The Telegraph reported Magic FM had “been in with her team and offered her a show, if she ever wanted one”.

It is one of the most-listened to radio stations in the UK, with an average of 3.6 million listeners each week.

The latest episodes, which feature more celebrity guests, see Meghan open up about her time in the UK and her marriage to “H”.

The show was renewed for a second run after the first season dropped in March, despite mixed reviews from critics and fans.

Meghan had teased the cringey episodes with a trailer earlier this month, in which she said she loved “finding ways to show she cares”.

Despite catching the eye of Magic bosses, it was blasted by some critics as another opportunity to “have a dig” at the Royal Family.

In the fourth episode, she risks reigniting a royal row after appearing to refer to her infamous claim she was forced to wear neutral colours.

Meg, possibly in a nod to the furore over her clothes while a working royal, said: “Yes existentially I am a neutral person.”

Royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun: “But certainly, Megan, I think, is doing her own thing, and this new Netflix series is evidence of that.

“There’s no sign of Harry in this program… maybe he has bigger fish to fry.

“To spice it up a bit, Megan starts talking a little bit about her time in the royal family.

“She drops a few things here and there and talks about her time in the UK.

“I think if there’s any opportunity for them to have another dig, they will use it – even if it’s in a more subtle way.

“I think they’ve exhausted their ammunition, in terms of Harry’s Book ‘Spare’, the Oprah Winfrey interview and the six-part Netflix series.

“I think they’ve done about as much damage as they can.”

Prince Harry does not appear in any of the show’s new episodes, featuring only in two photographs.

But Meghan references her husband several times, including one scene where she shows off the Duke’s hypocritical 40th present.

She proudly held up a blue baseball cap she made for her hubby with the initials PH40.

The PH refers to his royal title, Prince Harry, despite the fact the pair stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
