Miserable Man Utd fan has gone nearly a YEAR without a haircut as he waits for hapless side to have winning streak

A MAN United fan has gone almost a year without a haircut — as the team has not won five games in a row.

Frank Ilett, 29, has an afro-style barnet after pledging last October not to have a trim until they had a winning streak.

He posts clips daily of his ever-growing mane and said he did not expect it “to be as big as it has become”.

Manager Ruben Amorim led United to a 2-1 win over Chelsea last Saturday at Old Trafford — where a fan pulled Frank’s hair.

The win gave him hope of a cut this year.

Frank, from Oxford but now based in Spain, said: “It’s been an absolutely crazy journey – I never expected my hair, or my following, to be as big as it has become.”

“I’m hopeful that maybe by the end of the year, maybe I’ll get a haircut.

“The perfect ending would be one of the players to cut it at Old Trafford.”

Posting after the win against Chelsea, Frank wrote: “A big win today!

“What a crazy game it was in the end! 1 down, 4 to go. COME ON UNITED!”
