M&S confirms beloved Christmas snacks will NOT return to stores this year – and shoppers are gutted

M&S has confirmed it won’t be bringing back a Christmas snack that was loved by shoppers.

The Dark Chocolate Chilli Tortillas have been on M&S shelves during the festive season in previous years, but this winter they’ve been axed.

The news was revealed after a shopper said he’d been pining for the sweet and spicy snack.

“@marksandspencer Please bring these back, I beg you. The cinnamon tortilla rolls aren’t the same!” they wrote on X.

But an M&S spokesperson responded: “We don’t have plans to bring back the Dark Chocolate Chili Tortillas, but can confirm our Cinnamon Tortilla rolls are now available in store for grabs.”

The Dark Chocolate Chilli Tortillas had been described as “crunchy chilli spiced tortillas half coated in rich dark chocolate”.

Last year they were selling for £2.50 per bag.

Shoppers had gone wild for the snack, with one person saying: “I loved these but loved them too much and they were very unhealthy for me.”

Another wrote: “These were delish, very moreish!”

A third added: “These are absolutely delicious.. they had them years ago but stopped for the last two Christmases… but they’re back! Amazing.”

However others weren’t so keen on the tortilla snacks.

“They could be good, but too much chocolate, overpowers the nacho. Needs a better balance of savoury and sweet,” one shopper said.

Another added: “I just tried these. They’re a bit weird, they mainly taste chocolatey, you can’t really taste the chilli, but you still get the chilli sensation on your tongue.”

In better news for shoppers, the Milk Chocolate & Cinnamon Tortillas Rolls are back in stores now.

The crunchy cinnamon spiced tortilla rolls are dipped in milk chocolate to make the perfect snack.

In previous years they’ve sold out quickly so you’ll have to be fast to grab a bag in store.

More festive snacks landing in stores

While the Dark Chocolate Chilli Tortillas won’t be back this year, more festive favourites are returning – or being launched for the first time.

Pringles has unveiled a new Santa’s Mystery Flavour, which leaves shoppers guessing as to what flavour it is.

And it’s brought back its Roast Turkey and Pigs in Blankets flavours.

Plus, Quality Street tubs have already landed back on shelves.

The treat-filled tins are a big hit over Christmas and can get pretty cheap when the price war heats up.

Tesco was previously running an offer where you could pick up a 600g tub for £2.95 if you had a Clubcard.

On the topic of chocolates, Mars has also revealed its Christmas chocolate range for this year.

The chocolate giant is known for its favourites like Maltesers, Galaxy, Mars Bars, Snickers and M&M’s.

Some of the new treats include a Milky Way Advent Calendar, Gingerbread Maltesers Reindeer and Maltesers Christmas Mix Bag.
