Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for the live-action One Piece Season 2, set to premiere in 2026. The streaming giant also confirmed the series’ renewal for a third season.
The announcement came during the annual ‘One Piece Day’ event in Tokyo. This is a significant occasion celebrating the beloved manga and franchise.
ONE PIECE SEASON 2 TRAILER
The new trailer spotlights the Straw Hat crew, Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji, as they embark on their journey into the legendary Grand Line.
The Grand Line is a sea filled with wonder and danger. Additionally, new cast members Lera Abova and Callum Kerr join as Nico Robin and Smoker, respectively, according to Gulf News.
The second season will cover notable story arcs including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
This will all culminate in the Alabasta saga in the following season, much to the excitement of fans.
ONE PIECE SEASON 3
Filming for Season 3 will begin this fall in Cape Town, South Africa, marking another chapter of production on African soil.
Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the upcoming season, promising fresh creative directions for the pirate saga.
Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, expressed enthusiasm on set during Season 2 filming in South Africa.

He affirmed that the cast brought Oda’s vision to life perfectly. “My own casting selections were made from Japan over photos and videos, but seeing them all in person convinced me.
They were absolutely the perfect choice!” he said. Oda also praised the wonderful vibe onthe One Piece set.
The series, a Netflix and Tomorrow Studios production in partnership with Shueisha, continues to adapt Eiichiro Oda’s manga. The manga has become a global phenomenon.
The live-action show’s success follows the long-standing popularity of the anime series. The series has over 1,100 episodes and maintains a loyal fan base internationally.
