A HUGE funfair with over 250 rides and attractions for all the family is returning to the city of Hull in a matter of weeks.
Called Hull Fair, it’s one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and the best part is that you don’t have to pay anything to get in.

The funfair that’s been running for 700 years will return to Hull in October[/caption]
There are hundreds of rides and attractions for visitors[/caption]
For anyone wanting to go, you’ll find the fair on Walton Street – and it’s so huge, you’re unlikely to miss it.
The fair will be open for eight days and will light up the city during the evenings with some truly enormous rides.
New for this year will be the Big Ben Tower, a high-altitude swing ride which makes for incredible views across the city.
Another new ride for 2025 is the Skyfall Drop Tower which is great for anyone seeking high-thrills as it has a drop of 260 feet.
Other rides around the park include the Big Wheel, waltzers, dodgems, as well as rollercoasters and funhouses.
There are also traditional carnival games as well as food and drinks stalls.
Other activities include palm and tarot card readings, and there will be live entertainment, including music too.
Entry to Hull Fair is completely free with rides, attractions and food all being pay-as-you-go.
Hull Fair officially opens on Friday October 10 at 5pm and will be done so by the Lord Mayor of Kingston Upon Hull.
On October 11 it will be open from midday until 11pm, but closed on October 12.

There’s plenty of food and drink stalls set up there as well[/caption]
From Monday 13 until Friday 17 the fair will be open from 2pm until 11pm.
Its final day will be Saturday October 18 where it will again be open from midday to 11pm.
Hull Fair traditionally returns to the city every year and has done so for over 700 years – in fact, this year will be its 747th annual fair.
In history Hull Fair received its first Royal Charter in 1279, but had been up and running unofficially prior to that.
It’s guaranteed to be busy as around 600,000 people went last year.

Fairgame City recently opened a new venue in St Paul’s[/caption]
In another city, Sun Travel Reporter, Cyann Fielding, checked out a new adult-only fairground called ‘Fairgame’.
The London venue in St Paul’s is home to a popular indoor fairground with nostalgic games like the ‘Joy Ride’, a car racing game.
There’s also as ‘Duck and Dive’ -where players have to to knock all the bottles off the shelves, and ‘Beaky Blinders’ is the largest indoor hook-a-duck ever created.
Cyann described it “as if I had stepped into The Rydell High Carnival from Grease, transporting me to an American carnival full of thrilling games for competitive play.
“I loved the subtle nods to childhood with a Milk Bottle Toss game switched up to feature alcoholic bottles to knock over.
“In each game, a prize would be available too, with bucket hats and a Fairgame’s mascot up for grabs.”
