Orlando Pirates have plenty of options across the park. This means time on the bench for several disappointed stars.

Orlando Pirates star Moremi gets the nod from his boss
After playing a cameo role for most of the season, including a match-winning brace off the bench in the MTN8 final, 24-year-old winger Tshepang Moremi got a deserved start in the league. The Buccaneers claimed a workmanlike 2-0 win over TS Galaxy. Moremi started and impressed from the left flank. In recent outings, the likes of Relebohile Mofokeng, Mike Sebelebele and Oswin Appollis have held down those wide berths from the start.
Strikers do what they do best for Pirates
Meanwhile, on the other side of Soweto, Pirates duo Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa are not struggling in front of goal. Both players were on the score sheet for the Buccaneers as they claimed a routine 2-0 win over TS Galaxy. Makgopa struck with a 20th-minute penalty while Mabasa added the finishing touches deep into second-half stoppage time. Makgopa’s now got a goal and three assists in the Betway Premiership this season, reinforcing his overall importance to the cause.
