Orlando Pirates new signings: ‘From Sundowns to PSL rivals’ – Which clubs they came from

Orlando Pirates have recruited 11 players. Most of them come from PSL rivals.

Orlando Pirates have signed 11 players so far.

Let’s take a look at which clubs they were signed from.

PIRATES’ NEW SIGNINGS – WHERE THEY CAME FROM

  • Sipho Mbule (Mamelodi Sundowns)
  • Yanela Mbuthuma (from Richards Bay)
  • Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants)
  • Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu)
  • Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay)
  • Abdoulaye Mariko (Djoliba AC)
  • Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United)
  • Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka)
  • Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch)
  • Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City)
  • Kamogelo Sebelebele (TS Galaxy).

So, out of Pirates’ 11 new player recruitments, 10 of them have come from PSL rivals.

Meaning, Mariko who joined the Bucs from Djoliba AC in Mali, is the only player to be signed from outside of the PSL.

Mbule left Sundowns to join Pirates.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay sold both Mbuthuma and Ndaba to the Bucs. Nemtajela (Gallants), Moremi (AmaZulu), Kwayiba (Chippa), Mashiloane (Baroka), Nduli (Stellenbosch), Appollis (Polokwane City) and Sebelebele have all been signed from their respective PSL rivals.


DAWN OF A NEW BUCS ERA IS UPON US

Pirates will look completely different next season.

As mentioned, they have recruited 11 new stars. Furthermore, Pirates have released 10 players. Whilst, with another FIVE Bucs players heading out of Mayfair.

Therefore, the Bucs have signed a whole new team worth of players. Moreover, a whole new team of players – and counting – will have been released by the time the 2025/26 season begins.

In addition to over 20 changes to their playing squad, Pirates have a new captain lead out their new-look squad as they usher in the new era. A new era, lead by new head coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou.
