Orlando Pirates have wasted no time in acquiring several stars, such as Yanela Mbuthuma, but that doesn’t mean they will stop looking with over two months of the transfer window remaining.
Stellenbosch center-back Thabo Moloisane is an enforcer at the top of their list. However, it remains unclear whether the player is open to a move, albeit garnering interest from Pirates and Chiefs.
“I think when you have interest in your name, it shows you’re doing well and you’re playing well, and I’m just happy that my work is finally showing,” he told SABC Sport.
“I’ve prayed for days when I’m a Bafana Bafana player, and I try by all means to remain as consistent as I can, and at the moment it’s just to continue doing what I can, and God is in control, so we’ll see.”
“For me, I know the right time, everything that has happened in my career has always come at the right time,” the Orlando Pirates target added.
“So I’m just waiting for that; I understand sometimes football is a short career, but at the same time, I also believe that God will give me the right opportunity that will change my life at the right time. God is in control, we’ll see.”
Meanwhile, following weeks of pursuing it seems Fiston Mayele is off the table as the Congolese continues to attract mouth-watering bids said to be in excess of R70 million.
Regarding the Mbuthuma signing, former Orlando Pirates ‘keeper Moeneeb Josephs has expressed his displeasure, saying, “Why are we looking for players from clubs that are not above the top eight [small teams]?”
