Partly cloudy Western Cape to see isolated showers

The Western Cape enters a cooler, and partly cloudy spell as weak moisture drifts in from the interior and southern coastline.

Forecaster Phemelo Zonke says the province will not experience the severe thunderstorms affecting other regions but will still see “isolated showers in places, especially along the southern coastline and into the interior.”

Cape Town recorded an overnight low of around 16°C before climbing modestly during the day.

Shower activity remains light but noticeable in Western Cape

Most regions will remain dry, though it will be partly cloudy, and some light rainfall may develop over parts of the Garden Route and southern Cape.

Zonke notes that the system remains weak but adds, “Residents should still expect light rainfall in patches, particularly late in the afternoon.”

Travel safety is encouraged as winds shift

While no severe weather warnings apply to the province, SAWS advises travellers to remain aware of shifting coastal winds.

These winds may affect visibility and produce brief showers, especially during the evening.

How will you adjust your plans as cooler weather settles over the Western Cape?
