KwaZulu-Natal will enjoy clear skies tomorrow, 5 August, although isolated showers and thunderstorms may reach parts of the province’s interior. According to Phemelo Zonke, the eastern regions of South Africa, including KwaZulu-Natal, will remain relatively dry compared to the Western and Eastern Cape.
“While Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal stay largely dry, eastern Free State and parts of Mpumalanga could experience isolated to scattered thundershowers,” Zonke explained.
High fire danger weather warning
Despite no major weather warnings for KZN, high fire danger conditions remain a concern for parts of the province. Residents are urged to take precautions to prevent runaway fires, especially in drier rural areas.
“There’s an elevated fire risk for northern interior parts of KwaZulu-Natal, particularly where temperatures rise and humidity drops,” Zonke warned.
Do you think communities in fire-prone areas adequately prepared for these unpredictable flare-ups?
