Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane has touched on rumours linking him to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The 26-year-old has been solid at the back for Stellies since joining the Cape Winelands side back in 2023. His performance has attracted interest from the Soweto teams in recent months.
Moloisane is a former Mamelodi Sundowns youth player and also represented the country in junior categories. Last season, the talented defender played 26 matches for Stellenbosch, scoring two goals, which helped the team finish in third place.
Moloisane wanted by Chiefs and Pirates
“I think when you have interest in your name, it shows you’re doing well and you’re playing well, and I’m just happy that my work is finally showing,” he said as quoted by SABC Sport.
“I’ve prayed for days when I’m a Bafana Bafana player, and I try by all means to remain as consistent as I can, and at the moment it’s just to continue doing what I can, and God is in control, so we’ll see.
“I think, like I said, God is in control,” Moloisane continued.
“For me, I know the right time, everything that has happened in my career has always come at the right time.
Moloisane is not ruling out a move to either Chiefs or Pirates, but has hinted that he is content at Stellenbosch.
“So I’m just waiting for that; I understand sometimes football is a short career, but at the same time, I also believe that God will give me the right opportunity that will change my life at the right time. God is in control, we’ll see,” he added.
