Tempers flared with fans ejected for shouting abuse at Rory McIlroy, who at one point refused to play as a result of the heckling, and there was a row between Justin Rose and Bryan DeChambeau’s caddie.
But despite the controversy, Europe didn’t let the home crowd get on top of them and they ended the day with a SEVEN-point lead over Team USA coming.
The Europeans need just 2.5 more points from Sunday’s singles to retain the Ryder Cup.
Rory McIlroy faces world No1 Scottie Scheffler in the fourth match of the day, but Viktor Hovland will not be playing in the singles due to a neck injury.
