The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the payment dates for the October 2025 grant.
The agency pays out grants to various beneficiaries, including Old-age grants, Child support grants and Disability grants.
Other additional grants include the Care Dependency Grant, Foster Child Grant, War Veterans Grant, Grant-in-aid and the Social Relief of Distress Grant.

SASSA WELCOMES HIGH COURT DECISION TO STRUCK OFF APPLICATION BY POSTBANK
SASSA has welcomed the North Gauteng High Court’s decision to strike off the Postbank’s urgent application to prevent termination of the Master Services Agreement (MSA).
According to Judge C. Collis, the application by the Postbank lacked urgency.
Collis further stated that Postbank has been aware of SASSA’s intention to terminate the MSA since March last year.
BENEFICIARIES TO CONTINUE RECEIVING THEIR GRANT PAYMENT DESPITE MSA TERMINATION
SASSA CEO Themba Matlou mentioned that the termination of the MSA will not disrupt social grant payments.
“We are happy with the judgement and we would like to once more emphasise that all the eligible grant beneficiaries with accounts at Postbank will continue receiving their grants,” he said.
Matlou added that beneficiaries are allowed to open accounts with any bank of their choice.
He said, “Our beneficiaries can open an account into which [they will] to receive their social grant with any bank of their choice and we assist them. In this instance, those with Postbank will continue to receive their grants and the termination of the MSA has no bearing on that.”
