The 30-year-old told her hubby Jamie that her fear is giving her “sleepless nights”[/caption]
Speaking on a recent episode of Nearly Parents, her podcast with partner Jamie Laing, 36, who recently raised £2 million after completing a 150 mile ultra-marathon for Comic Relief, the mum-to-be opened up on her parenting worry.
The Made in Chelsea legend demanded: “No one’s f*****g kissing my baby.”
The pregnant star then warned: “I’m gonna say this on this podcast, if anyone comes and kisses my newborn baby, I will punch you in the face.”
Sharing her advice for those close to her, the blonde continued: “Please do not come near my baby and risk giving my baby germs.”
Sternly turning to Jamie, Sophie shared: “You are gonna be like to me, ‘no, but that woman said that we should give them an immune system – smother them with kisses.’
“It gives me sleepless nights.”
To this, Jamie attempted to reassure his wife and acknowledged: “I’m not gonna be like that.”
But not convinced by her husband, Sophie simply said: “I think you are.”
Setting the record straight, Jamie continued: “Honey, what I said was this – someone said gotta let them go and get dirt, so I went, ‘oh, we’ll just take them into the garden and put mud on them.’”
Gobsmacked, the pregnant star responded: “Yeah, that’s what he genuinely said…I was like, ‘probably not at newborn stage.’”
Big divide
The podcast clip, which was posted on the official @nearlyparents account, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it was shared just 17 hours ago but has quickly racked up 724,500 views.
Social media users were left totally divided by Sophie’s no-kissing rule – while many couldn’t agree more, others struggled to understand her concern.
