Strictly’s Vicky Pattison shares pic of her in tears and says she’s ‘riddled with anxiety’ hours before first live show

VICKY Pattison has admitted she’s riddled with anxiety and “shaking like a leaf” hours before Strictly Come Dancing’s 2025 season kicks off.

The reality TV legend, 37, showed the nerves had hit hard in a video showing her shaking hand posted to Instagram.

The Geordie Shore star will tackle the Cha Cha Cha tonight[/caption]

While the Geordie Shore star’s pale pink manicure was perfectly on point, it appeared her emotions were less than spot on.

Vicky, who previously told us how she was “over the moon” after being partnered with show professional Kai Widdrington, documented her Strictly Diary on social media.

She kicked off with her shaky hands clip which showed her wearing leggings and sliders ready to rehearse and wrote: “Feel like it’s a little bit too early in the morning for this.

“Shaking like a leaf already only like eight hours to go.”

She then captured her golden glow following a fresh spray tan in an image she uploaded to her Instagram grid.

With this, came a lengthy caption on her pre-show feelings ahead of her Cha Cha Cha routine and the I’m A Celeb champ wrote: “I’m lying in bed freshly spray tanned and absolutely RIDDLED with nerves and anxiety about tomorrow’s first live show just scrolling through my phone and I came across this picture…

“It’s from the day my agent called me and told me I’d got @bbcstrictly. As someone who has watched the show for years and is a huge fan… I honestly just couldn’t believe they’d want someone like me. In fact, I still can’t.

“When the nerves ramp up a notch tomorrow which they undoubtedly will, I’m going to remind myself of this moment… how unbelievably lucky I felt to be taking part in such an amazing show, to be learning a new skill and gaining a new family too… all these lovely things.

“I don’t want to look back on this experience and just remember how scared I was all the time.

“I want my memories to be full of joy, happiness and the twinkliest of toes. So I’m going to try my absolute best tomorrow to put on a good show for the judges and everyone watching in the audience and at home… and I’m going to try my hardest to just be grateful to be taking part.”

In an emotional plea to BBC show viewers she added: “But please just be patient with me on the nerves front please and sorry in advance if I cry… I’m a f****.”

Her close pal Dani Dyer – who was forced to withdraw through injury – was quick to reply: “You are going to be amazing! Good luck my babe.”

Vicky previously admitted she was “devastated” when Dani’s fractured foot sparked her premature exit.

STRICTLY CHUFFED

Vicky took to the dancefloor with pro Kai, 30, for the first time last week on the hit BBC series, as the show’s partnerships came to light.

She then gushed over their connection exclusively to The Sun and said: “

said: “I am absolutely over the moon to be paired with Kai.

“I know how much of a phenomenal dancer and teacher he is and he is already helping me so much with my confidence and nerves.

“He’s showing me so much patience which I’m very grateful for, as I don’t only want to make Kai proud, but I also want to make my husband and all my family proud on the dance floor too.”

A source added to us: “Kai and Vicky are getting on absolutely brilliantly – he’s aware she’s never danced before and that her nerves have been getting to her a tiny bit – which is natural of course.

“He’s being really patient and understanding.

“Kai is a great teacher and Vicky is over the moon with her pairing. His family are from the North East which Vicky loves as he’s always slipping into her accent which makes her feel at home.”

It comes after Kai was not paired with a celebrity partner on last year’s series, admitting: “It’s never nice.”
