Sundowns receive R30 million bid for rising teenager!

Mamelodi Sundowns have received an offer in the region of R30 million for rising teenager Kutlwano Letlhaku.

Letlhaku, 19, is one of the future stars unleashed by Sundowns in 2024, and he has gone on to make 20 appearances.

Now, according to reports an unnamed Portuguese club has shown interest in Letlhaku, and subsequently put in an offer.

This was also confirmed by Letlhaku’s agent Matthew Moore to Centre Circle, according to iDiski Times.

Moore was blatant in his plea to say the younger players at Sundowns are not the ones who are going to help them win trophies now.

He feels this is a good opportunity for players such as Letlhaku to be allowed to go overseas at this age in order to become better.

Moore said from the outside, it looks like dreams of young players with intentions to leave Sundowns for Europe die easily.

And he hopes this won’t be the case with Letlhaku, adding that it would be a tragedy for the player and a missed opportunity for Sundowns.

SUNDOWNS RECEIVE R30 MILLION BID FOR LETLHAKU

“Sundowns is a great club if you are a player who wants to play in the PSL at a club with a professional environment and win things and earn a good salary and stand a chance to compete at the highest levels in CAF competition,” said Moore.

“No doubt about it and that is a fantastic legacy that the Motsepe family have built with Sundowns.

“But equally, if you are a young player with aspirations to play in Europe, your dreams die at Sundowns.

“It certainly looks like that is the way it’s going for Letlhaku and it will be a tragedy for the player – and a missed opportunity for Sundowns – if that happens.”
