Terrified MPs brace themselves as Big Brother housemate with links to Boris Johnson ‘risks leaking jaw-dropping secrets’

A POLITICAL influencer who rubs shoulders with Tory bigwigs made jaws drop last night when she was revealed as a Big Brother housemate.

Emily Hewertson, who boasts a 167k following on X, is well-connected in the Conservative party – having been to Boris Johnson‘s house for a Christmas shindig and enjoyed a night out with Nigel Farage.

The 25-year-old self-proclaimed “patriotic Princess” revealed she applied to be on the new series of the ITV reality show because “I love doing things for the plot”.

It’s got some politicians squirming at the thought of her leaking their secrets on TV.

A source told The Sun: “Emily mixes in high-flying political circles and is friendly with a lot of the top Tories.

“She knows everyone and everything and always keeps her ears to the ground when it comes to scandalous rumours.

“After seeing her walk into the Big Brother house – the most indiscreet building outside of Parliament – MPs and staffers are likely to be concerned.

“There’s chatter that they’re worried she’ll get drunk and start blabbing about lots of gossip and secrets they don’t want made public.

“They needn’t be worried though. Emily is fiercely loyal and knows when to keep her mouth shut.

“She’s going in there for herself to have fun and meet new people.”

The 25-year-old was savagely booed seconds after being on-screen during the live Big Brother launch on ITV last night.

Emily said in her intro: “I work for a political events company in Westminster and I joined the Conservative Party when I was 16.

“I’ve been for Christmas drinks at Boris Johnson‘s house.

“He’s just like a big teddy bear to be honest.”

Emily backed Kemi Badenoch to be Tory leader, but recently posed alongside Robert Jenrick – calling him “the future leader of the Conservative Party”.

She has also been associated with the UK wing of the political group Turning Point, which was founded by the late American activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated earlier this month.

Despite knowing her political views risked a negative reaction from Big Brother viewers, Emily proudly insisted: “If you say you’d never kiss a Tory, you’re missing out.”

Later in the live show, it was revealed she and two other housemates face being evicted on the first night. The result will be announced tonight.

Our source added: “She knew voicing her political alliance would cause more harm than good, but she’s confident in going against the grain and being outspoken.

“Emily hoped she might even being help housemates and viewers see another side of young Conservatives by being herself on the show.”

Last June, Emily was falsely accused of flinging a milkshake over Nigel Farage in Clacton-on-Sea.

OnlyFans model Victoria Thomas-Bowen, 25, an OnlyFans model, later claimed responsibility, saying: “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.” She later dodged jail and was instead handed a 13-week sentence suspended for 12 months.

Emily, a former senior press officer in the House of Commons, said at the time: “I’m glad my name has now been cleared, but hope this is a lesson in thinking before you tweet.”

The 25-year-old – who previously worked for former MP for Wolverhampton North East Jane Stevenson – added: “I love a fun experience and meeting new people. And I guess this is just another crazy chapter in my very crazy life!

“I’ll definitely bring a lot of noise. But also, a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the other housemates.

“Working in politics, I’ve met all sorts of characters, so I’m definitely used to a big range of personalities. But I just love meeting new people and seeing what they have to offer. “
