A skincare professional has offered to help Maria “Meisie” Mabaso, the mother of convicted criminal, Thabo Bester.
This comes after the woman made an appearance in the Netflix documentary Beauty and the Bester. The three-part series delves into the life of Nandipha Magudumana, the woman who helped Bester escape from prison in 2022.
Ironically, Nandipha was a celebrity skin doctor before her fall from grace.
THABO BESTER’S MOTHER GETS SKINCARE OFFERS
On social media, South Africans have sympathised with Maria “Meise” Mabaso, the mother of convicted rapist, murderer, and fraudster Thabo Bester.
Many of their comments relate to Mabaso’s facial scars, allegedly from using harmful products on her skin.
On Facebook, content creator Valentine Mathabo appealed to dermatologists to help Bester’s mother.
One responded to the call, posting: “I just want to assist her in regaining her confidence.”
‘THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM’
In a sit-down interview with eNCA in 2023, Maria Mabaso expressed her shock at her son Thabo Bester’s criminal convictions and escape from prison.
The elderly woman stated that Bester was a product of rape and had many behavioral issues growing up. Mabaso believes her son is suffering from an undiagnosed mental health condition.
She said, “There is something wrong with him. He needs help. We would like to help him, but we are also afraid of him.
“When you hear about the things he’s done, how can you not be afraid of him?”
