South Africans woke up on Wednesday morning to the news that Mzansi has its latest multi-millionaire after one lucky – very lucky – player correctly matched the five PowerBall Plus numbers plus the bonus ball drawn on Tuesday evening.
The numbers were 10, 14, 25, 42 and 50 while the PowerBall Plus bonus number was 18.
The lucky player is now R69 284 927 richer!
At the time of publishing, ITHUBA, operators of the national lottery in South Africa, had not confirmed where in the country the winning ticket was purchased, nor by what method the numbers were selected.
Suffice it to say, if you did enter, check your number carefully!
PowerBall jackpot climbs to R90 million
Meanwhile, the R83 million PowerBall jackpot was not won on Tuesday evening.
The PowerBall numbers that were drawn were 10, 23, 32, 43 and 45, while the bonus ball was 18.
The next PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws will take place on Friday, 26 September from 20:58.
The PowerBall jackpot now stands at a guaranteed R90 million, while the PowerBall Plus jackpot has dropped to R3 million.
The draw will be broadcast live on Friday evening, and results will be available shortly after on official platforms, as well as The South African website.
