Måneskin frontman Damiano David has dropped a dazzling new single with two major voices, South Africa’s Grammy-winning star Tyla and funk legend Nile Rodgers.
The track, titled Talk to Me, arrived on Friday, 12 September, as part of the deluxe edition of David’s debut solo album.
DAMIANO DAVID AND TYLA
The project, Funny Little Dreams: Funny Little Fears (Deluxe), extends his May release with fresh collaborators and new material, according to Cape Town ETC.
David explained that a sudden burst of creativity hit as his world tour loomed. “I felt a new wave of inspiration,” he told the press. “I knew I wanted to bring in artists who could lift the music even further.”
TYLA’S COLLABORATION
Rodgers’ signature guitar solo shaped the track dramatically. David described it as more than background.
“It became a third voice in the song,” he said. Tyla also brought her touch to the collaboration, blending with David’s vocals and Rodgers’ groove.
“I instantly fell in love with the mood of the track,” Tyla revealed.
A STAND OUT TRACK
The single is already being called one of the deluxe edition’s standout moments. It highlights a rare meeting of styles: European rock, South African pop, and American funk.
For South African fans, Tyla’s presence makes Talk to Me more than an international collaboration. It is a homegrown voice standing beside global giants.
DAVID’S FIRST SOLO TOUR
The timing also aligns with David’s first solo tour, which kicked off in September. The tour stretches across Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America, before ending in December.
Many dates have already sold out, showing strong demand for his solo work. Fans can expect to hear Talk to Me live as part of his setlist.
Groove-driven, nostalgic, and cross-continental, the track is proof that collaboration can spark fresh energy. For listeners at home, it offers another reminder of Tyla’s growing reach on the world stage.
