Debutant Vincent Tshituka scored two tries as the Springboks convincingly defeated the Barbarians 54-7 at the rainy Cape Town Stadium on Saturday night.
With captain Siya Kolisi withdrawn from the squad on Friday, Jesse Kriel was appointed to lead the team against the Barbarians.
The world champions made their intentions clear early in the match and dominated their opponents throughout the first half. By halftime, the Springboks were leading 19-0, suggesting it would be one of those games where the Barbarians might concede over 50 points.
The standout performance came from young Vincent Tshituka, who scored two tries on his Springbok debut. In the opening 20 minutes, the Sharks flanker played as if he had been representing the national team for years.
His impressive performance caught the attention of many rugby fans, and several took to social media to praise the 26-year-old for his sensational debut.
