SENSATIONAL SACHA SPEEDS INTO HISTORY BOOKS

The 23-year-old flyhalf scored three tries, slotted eight conversions, and added two penalties in a performance that saw him break Percy Montgomery’s 18-year record for most points by a Springbok in a single Test. Montgomery’s mark of 35 points – set against Namibia in 2007 – had stood for nearly two decades.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu became just the sixth Springbok to score 30 or more points in a Test and was at the heart of everything as the Boks ran in nine tries to three, securing a bonus-point win that propelled them to the top of the Rugby Championship standings.

SPRINGBOK COACH HEAPS PRAISE ON FEINBERG-MNGOMEZULU

Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus hailed the young flyhalf’s brilliance, crediting not just his talent, but also the team around him:

“You can’t expect someone to be world-class overnight. He’s grown a bit with each match. Today, it all came together.”

Erasmus also praised midfield generals Damian de Allende, Damian Willemse, and fellow playmakers Manie Libbokand Handré Pollard for helping create the platform for Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s success.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s evolution has been steady across his 11-Test career so far and on Saturday, everything clicked.
