Watch the moment MAFS UK groom’s friends ‘throw him under the bus’ and expose his lies to bride

A GROOM on Married At First Sight saw his best pals ‘throw him under the bus’ as his wedding got underway.

Hunky 36-year-old Bailey could not have been happier to be getting married on the E4 reality series and appeared delighted when he was partnered up with Rebecca.

Bride Rebecca was left unsure about her hubby

The outgoing dad-of-one was keen to make an impression during the wedding dinner especially after being left unsure if his new wife was as into him as he was to her.

Bailey was left shocked at the alter when Rebecca only let him kiss her on the cheek with the cheeky chap admitting he was not used to being turned down by anyone for a romantic advacne.

Intent on making a good further impression, Bailey continually told Rebecca he was an “alpha”, something she had insisted was a dealbreaker if her husband were to not be one.

Later, as they got to know one another at the dinner table, Bailey spoke about his apparent love for fitness and told his new wife, a keen fitness fanatic herself, that he aims to go to the gym at least 24 days of the month.

However, on a nearby table, Bailey’s two best pals could be heard sniggering and debunking what he was saying.

One pal said to the other: “He’s chatting so much s***.”

“I know,” agreed his pal before he mimicked a snoring noise.

Later, Rebecca decided she wanted to speak to his friends as she questioned them on Bailey.

She asked the pair of pals: “Is he six foot four?”

One friends quickly quipped: “There’s no way he is six foot four.”

The other echoed: “He’s about six two on a good day, I think.”

Rebecca then said: “So, he said to me, that he trained in the gym every day.”

But the pals quickly shot it down once more, adding: “When he says he trains, he means he’s done five press-ups and that’s it.”

Fans watching along at home were left horrified that Bailey’s friends had thrown him under the bus and exposed him in front of his new wife.

Will Bailey’s marriage crumble?

Writing online, one MAFS viewer penned: “Not the friends making him look ;ike a complete k***.”

Another added: “Bailey’s friends hate him.”

A third posted online: “When you realise you need to get new friends who will lie for you.”

“Bailey needs to drop them “friends” immediately…,” declared a fourth before a fifth quickly added: “Lol Bailey mate, maybe it’s time to find some new friends.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
