WEATHER: Wild weather day ahead for these provinces

Parts of the North West, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Free State are in for windy, rainy weather conditions on Tuesday, 13 January.

NORTH WEST

The North West can expect morning fog patches along the coast. The rest of the day will be partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. It will be fine and warm in places in the west.

MAHIKENG

The North West capital city will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 18°C to a maximum of 32°C.

KWAZULU-NATAL

A Yellow Level 2 Warning has been issued for parts of northern KwaZulu-Natal due to expected disruptive rainfall that could lead to localised flooding. Morning fog patches are likely, otherwise the day will be partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and rain, while the northern areas may experience cloudy skies with widespread to scattered showers and rain. The UVB sunburn index is expected to be very high.

DURBAN

Durban will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain. Temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 23°C to a maximum of 31°C.

FREE STATE

Morning fog patches are expected in the eastern parts of the Free State; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 18°C to a maximum of 34°C.
