Kaizer Chiefs new signing Ethan Chislett is decribed as a technically gifted midfielder with an ability to score goals.
His former coach at Port Vale, Andy Crosby has opened up on the attributes of the Durban-born midfielder who joined Amakhosi a few weeks ago. The 26-year-old is one of the six new Amakhosi signings ahead of the new season.
“His technical ability to receive in tight spaces, his ability to play the last pass (assist) and his ability to score,” Crosby told Soccer Laduma.
“He progressed throughout his first season, grew more comfortable in his new club and with his teammates and style of play,”
Chislett has scored 13 goals in 68 league appearances for The Valiants across two seasons, in two different league levels. It remains to be seen if the Durban-born midfielder will outperform other new Kaizer Chiefs signings.
Which other players did Kaizer Chiefs sign?
This past weekend, the Soweto giants announced the signing of former SuperSport United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu. Before that, the club revealed that former Orlando Pirates duo of Thabiso Monyane and Paseko Mako were part of the Khosi family.
Other new signings include Flavio Silva and Nkanyiso Shinga.
Kaizer Chiefs are currently in the Netherlands for their pre-season training and will play in several friendly matches next week.
