What Nabi told his Kaizer Chiefs players

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi told his players to forget the flat first half and play with more passion in their win over Golden Arrows.

Amakhosi stayed second on the Betway Premiership log after a tight 1-0 win over Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

But the three points didn’t come easy, and Nabi admitted the mood in the dressing room at half-time wasn’t great.

The Glamour Boys struggled to create chances in the opening 45 minutes, looking flat after their midweek clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Nabi said he noticed heads dropping at the break, and that’s when he stepped in with a simple but strong message.

“I observed that the mood was down in the dressing room and I told them, not to worry, more focus, more demand, I need them to improve, more passion and you will score,” the Tunisian coach told SuperSport TV.

“I think we started the second half bad in the first 10 minutes, because some players were very tired after the game against Sundowns, it’s normal.

“The three substitutes gave the team more and remember before the game I said it’s a very difficult game.

“It was a very difficult game and I’m very happy for all the staff and I’m happy for the three points,” Nabi concluded.
